ZF Lenksysteme GmbH (ZFLS) is a 50:50 Joint Venture by Robert Bosch GmbH y ZF Freidrichshafen AG. The company was founded on 1st January. ZF Steering Systems develops, produces and sells steering technology for passenger systems, including steering columns and steering pumps, as well as components such as valves, outer ball points and steering shafts. ZF Steering Systems is a leader in technology and innovation in the steering gear field, and thus and important partner for automotive manufacturers worldwide.
The company headquarters are located in Schwäbisch Gmünd. Apart from further domestic plants in Berlin and Bietigheim and the ZF Lenksysteme Nacam GmbH subsidiary in Bremen, ZFLS is present in 15 other locations in ten different countries. The geographic focus is centred on Europe, North and South America and Asia. ZF Steering Systems employed over 9000 associates worldwide in 2005.
