Our Chassis Systems Control Division develops innovative components, systems and functions in the field of vehicle safety, vehicle dynamics and driver assistance.

Active safety systems recognize hazardous driving situations and intervene to prevent accidents. If an accident is unavoidable, passive safety systems provide protection for vehicle occupants and reduce the risk of injury. Driver assistance offer drivers not only comfort but increasingly support in safety-critical situations. Our competence lies in the networking of active and passive safety systems with driver assistance systems, and thereby we realise new dimensions in safety, agility and comfort.

Our product portfolio comprises:

• electronic brake-control systems ABS, TCS, ESP®
• sensors (e.g. wheel-speed, steering-angle and yaw-rate sensors)
• electronics for occupant and pedestrian safety (e.g. airbag control unit and crash sensors)
• driver assistance systems based on radar and video sensor technology (e.g. ACC and Night Vision)
• networked system solutions for safety (CAPS - Combined Active and Passive Safety) and agility (VDM - Vehicle Dynamics Management)

The work we share with our Chassis Systems Brakes Division helps us to jointly develop new solutions for complete brake systems.
